There's No Place Like Ontario for Camping

Pack up the kids and the gear, hop in the RV and get on the road as you embark on a great family camping expedition in Ontario's Sunset Country! Visit a Local Festival or Event

While camping, why not take in a local summer festival? The choices during the summer are many and include the Red Lake Norseman Festival, the Dryden Moosefest, the Blueberry Festival in Sioux Lookout, or Harbourfest in Kenora. While in Kenora, make sure you see the incredible Lake of the Woods aboard the cruise ship MS Kenora. This two-hour cruise offers you great photo opportunities for bald eagles and pelicans as well as animals along the shoreline such as deer and black bears.

Local museums offer insight to Ontario history

You can also visit local museums such as the Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre, and the Lake of the Woods Museum or see the famous "Dryden buck" at the Dryden Museum. There are also great museums in the towns of Sioux Lookout, Atikokan, and Fort Frances. For something completely different, the White Otter Castle south of Ignace is truly a unique attraction with an amazing story behind it.
