Stars & Thunder 2017

Countdown to Canada's birthday June 22 - July 1 in Timmins w/ BIG names like Keith Urban, Johnny Reid, Hedley, and many more!

It's a brand new, one-of-a-kind festival in Ontario, and there are still a few tickets left up for grabs.

It's Canada's 150th birthday, and naturally there are a ton of events and promotions taking place throughout Northeastern Ontario in celebration. But Timmins  the City with a Heart of Gold  is going all out with an all-ages, accessible eight-day music and international fireworks festival! Sound crazy? That's because it is. Crazy awesome!

We think you'll recognize a few names on this list of headliners slated to rock Hollinger Park... like Australian country rockstar Keith Urban. Or maybe closer-to-home country artist Johnny Reid? How about Canadian darling Meghan Patrick?

But maybe country isn't your style  and that's ok! More headlining acts include Hedley, Simple Plan, and Lights. Canadian classic rock favourites will also be in attendance such as David Wilcox, April Wine, and Tom Cochrane, to name a few. With eight full days of entertertainment scheduled, festival-goers are sure to find someone to get excited about!

As an added bonus, Timmins mayor Steve Black has announced that anyone who has purchased their tickets by May 31 will be automatically entered for a chance to win an opportunity to meet and greet the artists of Stars and Thunder

See the full lineup here. We think you'll be impressed by the star-studded schedule the City of Timmins has put together in homage of Canada's 150th.

And thunder... so much international thunder!

As if an eight-day music festival weren't enough, Timmins has invited the rest of the world to play as well. Specifically, the nations of France, Brazil, Finland, Italy, China, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom.

Each night's musical performance will be followed up by a fireworks display from a different international team, culminating with Team Canada on July 1! The top pyrotechnic team from each country will put on a show, competing for the international title, and of course, some serious bragging rights.
