Kayaking in Timmins, Ontario is BIG. The city hosts an annual Great Canadian Kayak Challenge in August, calling all kayakers to the Mattagami river. A once peaceful river become a tizzy with avid paddlers, and even beginners who come out to race and enjoy the great Canadian outdoors.
You're in? Great! We just want you to be well equipped. If you find yourself up Abitibi or Mattagami river without a paddle, it's a good idea to know where your outdoor gear shops are.
