Mike Smith, owner and operator of Reelpro Guide Service, has been fishing all across Ontario for over 45 years, and has concentrated on the Muskoka region for the past 20 years. He began fishing at the age of 5 in the Yukon Territories for Grayling, then fished in Central America for tropical fish by age 7 and has been fishing in Ontario for everything that swims since then.
Mike has been guiding clients and friends since 1990 and has had hundreds of people catch their “trophy fish” with him over the years.
Mike can guide you to the spots and teach you the methods and techniques, and how to use the different rods and tackle to catch many types of game fish. Muskie, Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, Perch, Crappie, Channel Catfish, and Lake Trout.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable day on the water, Mike is also a Transport Canada Accredited Charter Operator, with certifications in Marine Emergency Duty A3, Small Vessel Operators Proficiency, Restricted Radio Operators Licence, St. John’s Ambulance First Aid, Past Director - Ontario Sportfishing Guides Association.
