Ontario Pow Wows are back in 2025. Filled with joy, ceremony, and fellowship, these cultural gatherings are an important part of Indigenous identity and tradition for many First Nations communities.

Attending a Pow Wow either as a respectful guest or as a participant is a special way to experience Indigenous culture. 

Here is a partial list of upcoming Ontario Pow Wows in 2024. Don’t see yours? Please let us know so we can add it.

Walpole Island 31st Annual Spring Pow Wow
This year's theme is Reviving Our Old Ways—"Gaa-bi-shiwebag Zhaashgwa" which is seen throughout the community by those who are maintaining old ways in cultural practices, knowledge sharing, and opportunities to learn.
​​​​​​​Grand Entries on Saturday at 12 pm and 6 pm, and Sunday at 12 pm.

Hiawatha First Nation 29th Annual Traditional Pow Wow
Come celebrate our culture with us on the Saturday and Sunday of the May Long Weekend at our Annual Traditional Powwow. Takes place at Serpent Mounds Park, located at 221 Serpent Mounds Road, in Keene, Ontario. Grand Entry is at noon each day. Enjoy browsing at the many craft vendors and tasting the delicious traditional cuisine at some of the food vendors. Be delighted by the traditional dancing, singing and drumming. Join in the intertribal dances. Embrace this celebration!
Admission fees are as follows: ages 0 – 6 are free, ages 7 – 12 are $5 per day, ages 13 – 59 are $10 per day or $15 for a weekend pass, and those aged 60 years and over are free. Gates open at 11 am.

Odawa Traditional Powwow—"50 Years of Odawa"
The Odawa Native Friendship Centre is proud to announce its annual Traditional Powwow, celebrating a milestone year—"50 Years of Odawa."
This vibrant two-day gathering promises a powerful celebration of Indigenous culture, community, and resilience. As the longest-running Indigenous community centre in Ottawa, Odawa has been a pillar of support and cultural revitalization for five decades, serving generations of Indigenous Peoples in the region.
Highlights include: traditional dance, culinary delights, live music & entertainment, cultural connection, children's activities and specials.

An annual gathering and celebration of Indigenous culture on Scugog Island, Port Perry, Ontario. The powwow features a variety of traditional ceremonies, dances, and songs, and it is an opportunity for Indigenous people to come together to celebrate life, honour people past and present, and share part of our culture with others from across North America. The MSIFN Powwow is a significant event in the community, and we invite you to join us!

One of the largest, longest-running Pow Wows in Northeastern North America, you can expect Anishinaabe arts & crafts, champion Anishinaabe dance, Anishinaabe cuisine, Wiikwemkoong Art Gallery, cross-cultural performances. Also, look out for community specials, committee specials, and included in your ticket admission. Wikwemikong Tourism hosts authentic, memorable and engaging experiences at the Cultural Pavilion. Our authentic experiences reflect the history, cultural lifestyles and traditions of the Anishnaabek people of the Three Fires Confederacy-Ojibwe, Odawa and Pottawatomi peoples. An event in celebration of our proud and growing First Nation. All are welcome. Friday is the welcome fish fry from 6 pm - 8 pm, while supplies last. On Saturday, there'll be a full hot breakfast, Grand Entry at 1 pm, and 7 pm dinner, followed by evening fireworks. On Sunday, there'll be another full hot breakfast, grand Entry at 12 pm. Please bring feast plates and water bottles. No alcohol or drugs permitted. There are no vendors fees. Contact us for a spot!

On the shores by the beautiful St. Lawrence River, this year's Pow Wow features Iroquois Smoke Dancers. Grand Entry is at noon both days.
