Woodland Caribou Provincial Park

Explore where the caribou roam.

Woodland Caribou Provincial Park is a backcountry paddler’s paradise offering almost 2,000 km of maintained canoe routes in the wilderness. This undisturbed boreal forest is home to one of the largest groups of woodland caribou south of Hudson Bay. Two major river systems flow through the park – the Bloodvein and Gammon rivers.

Some areas of the park are more easily travelled than others. Portages and campsites are not signed so trip planning and wilderness navigation skills are necessary.
