With special exhibitions, major IMAX® titles, and the all new Escape Room, this is the place to be this March Break!

With so much to see and do, your family won't want to go farther than Science North & Dynamic Earth this March Break! Two of Northeastern Ontario's premier attractions, these interactive science centres encourage hands on play, learning and above all, BIG fun. This is true whether you're 5, 50+, or somewhere in between! Here are some highlights to look forward to this March Break 2017, starting with:

1. Buy 1 Dynamic Duo, Get 1 50% Off

With a jam-packed schedule of things to see and do over the March Break, Dynamic Duo passes are the perfect solution for families looking to play for multiple days at both science centres. On sale March 4 and valid for three days, these passes will cover admission to both locations to maximize the fun (and learning) without feeling rushed.

Dynamic Duo passes will allow visitors to experience the latest special exhibitions at both science centres, take in an IMAX show, and think really BIG and visit the Planetarium! (Some conditions apply. Visit their website for details.)

2. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and more in IMAX

If you haven't seen Rogue One: A Star Wars Story yet, March Break is the time! With a recently upgraded IMAX experience, complete with lasers and an incredible sound system, this is guaranteed to be the best way to see it (or any other film for that matter).

In the lineup this March will be:

  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
  • Dream Big
  • Secret Ocean

3. New: Escape From Cortx laboratories

Ready to test your puzzle and problem solving skills? Escape rooms are all the rage, and Science North's brand new
Escape Room is open and ready for challengers! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to escape from CortX Laboratories. Solve puzzles, break codes and work together as a team to break out in 45 minutes or less.

Sound like your brand of fun? Book your group of 2-8 people online. Walk-ins are also welcome!

4. Special Exhibitions

In addition to the regular collection of exhibits, there will be two incredible special exhibitions for visitors this March Break. Take advantage while they're in town, as these exhibitions will be here for a limited time only:

Unearthed

Starting March 4, visit Dynamic Earth to see unEARTHed, and immerse yourself in the world of paleontology! Discover the Earth's 4 billion year fossil history (from as close to home as Manitoulin Island); see the cast of Lucy, one of the earliest hominids ever discovered, and experience the story of life on Earth.

101 Inventions That Changed the World

Fancy yourself an inventor? Come to Science North to learn about 101 Inventions That Changed the World, and be transported through five epochs of human creation. Whether driven by creativity or pure necessity, these inventions have changed the course of human history.

5. March Break Science Camps

Searching for a fun and educational experience for your children over the Break? Enroll them in one of Science North or Dynamic Earth's top notch science camps for kids! Ideal for ages 4 to 11, they will love being a part of a like-minded group, getting to experiment and play with tools, and applying real science.

Science North

Head over to Science North for March Break Madness - a full week of action-packed experiments, activities, and fun for the budding scientist in your family. Each day offers a new theme for your child to explore and get hands on with. Just like Dynamic Earth, programming options are available in both French and English. Find out more on their website.

Dynamic Earth

Sign up your children for Dynamic Earth's March Break Dash in either French or English. With a new theme setting the direction for each day, kids will explore nature, experiment, and get hands on (either above or below ground) at the home of the Big Nickel. Find out more on their website.
