We love Instagram. It’s a place to get inspired, get motivated, get ideas, and sometimes, get lost in great content. Beautiful content is being created around the world at an increasing rate, and Northeastern Ontario Instagrammers are no exception to that trend.

With this account, the lakes and the land are the stars. With dreamy, woodsy vibes, Cassidy Jean McAuliffe's Insta account is droolworthy and will make you want to cozy up with a blanket, a mug of hot chocolate, and a book.

With an incredible knack for capturing Northern Lights, starscapes, and other night sky features over Lake Temagami, @sdh_images will inspire you to pick up a tripod and try your hand at shooting the night sky. This outdoor photographer (formerly known as @Josie Dinsmore Photography) and nature lover specializing in capturing the natural beauty and rugged landscapes of the rivers, forests, and wildlife around Mattawa Voyageur Country and Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park. Give her a follow for a daily view through the eyes of someone who is truly passionate about life in Northeastern Ontario. 


If you've ever thought about "getting away from it all," and building an off-grid cabin in the North sounds like a dream come true, then head on over to @ausland_cabin. This accounts tells the story of building a lakeside, off-grid paradise cabin in Northern Ontario. A mix of drone photography, cabin construction, and lifestyle shots, this account is as beautiful as it is inspiring.

Paddling, Northern landscapes, and the occasional yummy food shot—this beautiful account populated by @janikguy channels pastel tones and an explorer's spirit on her adventures throughout Sudbury, Killarney, and Northern Ontario at large.

Based out of Timmins, this Northern photographer combines phenomenal bird shots with occasional drone imagery and night sky captures. A community that comes alive in winter, follow for beautiful imagery of Timmins during the colder months.


Based out of the train-in or fly-in community of Moosonee, @lakesideknitco brings together modern knitwear with Northern Ontario landscapes. The result is a beautiful Insta account that doubles as a product catalogue of items perfect for Northern climates.

Wolves, moose, porcupines—you name it, you'll find it all on @mark_clement_photos's Instagram account. Add in a healthy dose of Timmins landscapes and drone photography, and you've got a recipe for a great Insta account that deserves some attention.
