Hidden Gem of Eastern Georgian Bay

When I stumbled upon these islands and saw the curvaceous granite patterns for the first time, I was in awe. An exquisite blend of geology and artistry. It's the kind of place that keeps me up at night dreaming about the next photo and the next trip.

I won't tell you exactly where this is. That’s my secret. You'll thank me for that later, because the adventure is far richer if you have to work for it.

But here's a hint to build your anticipation over this winter as you plan the trip. You'll base your explorations out of Parry Sound, a beautiful town on the eastern shore of Georgian Bay. If you zoom in on this area with Google Maps, you'll see more islands than you can count. This is the heart of the world famous 30,000 Islands. The White Squall Paddling Centre is your gateway to discovering them. You can rent kayaks and explore on your own, or you can book a spot at one of their guided paddling adventures. They know the scenic spots better than anyone... the best of Georgian Bay.
