Ontario Cycling Events You Should Add to Your Bucket List in 2024

Road cycling, mountain biking, BMX, gravel, cyclecross, and more—if it’s on two wheels, it’s on the list.

If you’re a cycling enthusiast, there’s nothing better than spending a weekend, or longer, with a whole bunch of other cycling aficionados. And one of the best things about cyclists is that they are a welcoming and friendly bunch. So if you’re new to the sport—or just want to try something different for a couple of days—you could end up making some lifelong friends on this year’s Ontario cycling events.

5-7 2024 Canadian Championships — Kicking off the 2024 indoor track season for Elites and Masters in Milton

13 Youth Development Series #2 — Riders 18 years and younger can compete in non-traditional track races to focus on skills, speed, tactics and personal bests in Milton

13 Swing & Fling #1 Madison Event — A Madison-specific indoor track event offered to Elite, Masters and Youth categories in Milton

14 Ontario Cup #2 — Compete in the Track OCup Series to prepare to compete at the provincial championships. Milton.

February

10-11 Ontario Cup #3 —  Compete in the Track OCup Series to prepare to compete at the provincial championships. Milton.

25 Youth Track Development Series Finale — Riders 18 years and younger can compete in non-traditional track races to focus on skills, speed, tactics and personal bests in Milton

March  

1-3 2024 Provincial Championships Track — Held over three days and showcasing a variety of events

8-10 Toronto Bicycle Show and E-Bike Expo — Find your next ride at the International Centre in Mississauga

TBD Sault Ste. Marie Pump Track Festival — Come to the paved pump track in downtown Sault Ste. Marie for a day of family-friendly BMX and urban riding

June

TBD Sea Otter Canada Bike Festival Industry Expo — Check out the Expo in the heart of Blue Mountain Village to see all the latest bikes and gear.

July

19 Healthy Parks Healthy People — Day entry is free at all Ontario Parks across the province, many of which have great cycling options. Check out the trails at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park near Thunder Bay, cruise the hard-surface Old Railway Bike Trail in Algonquin Provincial Park, or tackle Silent Lake Provincial Park’s 28 kilometres of singletrack mountain bike trails.
