Paddle Into Something Meaningful This Summer

This summer, escape the ordinary and experience Ontario from a whole new perspective—on the water, guided by tradition, story, and connection. The Two Nations Paddle, taking place June 19–21, 2025, is not just a canoe trip. It’s a three-day cultural tourism experience that takes you deep into the heart of Anishinaabe culture and breathtaking Northern Ontario landscapes.
Hosted by Wikwemikong Tourism and Six Nations Tourism, in partnership with Indigenous paddlers and leaders from across the province, this event is open to anyone with a curiosity for culture and a love of nature. Whether you’re a solo traveler, couple, or part of a group, the Two Nations Paddle offers a chance to connect—with the land, the water, and people from all walks of life.
And best of all? You can book your spot today.
A Journey Like No Other
The Two Nations Paddle invites visitors to trace the ancestral canoe routes of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples, following waterways that once connected entire nations. You’ll paddle side-by-side with Indigenous guides and knowledge keepers, stopping at key cultural and ceremonial points along the way.
Each day blends outdoor adventure with cultural immersion. From morning sunrise ceremonies to evenings around the fire listening to stories and drumming, every moment brings you closer to the living traditions of the First Peoples of this land.
This is more than sightseeing—it’s a hands-on, heart-opening experience that leaves you with a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultures, and the role tourism can play in reconciliation and respect.

Designed for All Experience Levels
Worried you’re not a seasoned paddler? Don’t be. The event is designed to be accessible and inclusive. You’ll be supported by experienced guides throughout the journey, and all logistics—from food to safety—are thoughtfully coordinated.
Whether you join for a single day or the full three-day adventure, you’ll be part of a welcoming community of locals and visitors, all drawn together by a shared appreciation for Indigenous culture and the stunning natural beauty of Northern Ontario.

Why You Should Book The Two Nations Paddle Now
For travellers looking to go beyond the usual trail, the Two Nations Paddle is a rare opportunity. It’s not every day you get to join an Indigenous-led expedition, learn directly from the people who have called this land home for generations, and be part of something that’s as meaningful as it is memorable.
You’ll leave with more than just photos. You’ll leave with a story—and maybe even a new way of seeing the world.
Spaces are limited, and this event is gaining attention across the province. If you’re planning a summer trip through Manitoulin Island or the surrounding region, the Two Nations Paddle deserves a spot on your itinerary.
