Discover the lost giants of the ice age at Science North in 2015! Imagine yourself as one of our ancestors, living alongside these huge and unusual creatures!
Spoiler alert! The special exhibition Ice Age is not about ice! Many ice age animals, along with humans of the era, lived in areas of moderate climate with plants and landscapes that will look strikingly familiar. Travel though galleries exploring the giant ice age animals, learn about the Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons - the early humans who lived among them and discover the Tar Pits – death traps of ice age creatures.
Explore and discover the answers to questions like “Where did these animals go?”. “How do we know so much about them?” and “Could another ice age be coming in the future?”. The special exhibition Ice Age will excite and entertain visitors of all ages with a view of the world and its inhabitants when it was very different from today. We invite you to walk among the giants of the ice age...before they disappear forever.
