Canadian Lighthouses, Lake Superior

The non-profit Canadian Lighthouses of Lake Superior offers unique accommodations at a remote lighthouse located just east of Thunder Bay. You’ll need advanced sea kayaking skills (or hire a boat shuttle) to access the refurbished historic light station at Porphyry Island. It’s a perfect layover for paddlers exploring the Lake Superior National Marine Conservation Area.
