This fall, Parry Sound is getting a visit from three well-known female riders who are adventuring across the region by every motorized means – from ATV to dirtbike, hovercraft and airplane. Bear Claw Tours, Georgian Bay Airways and Air Rider Hovercraft have teamed up to bring three seasoned riders to ride some incredible trails, waterways, skies and all surrounded by magnificent natural landscapes.
Our guests arrive in Parry Sound on a Wednesday, looking forward to some epic adventures. They're greeted by our host Shelby Mahon, a professional snowcross racer, who will help show them around during their visit to Ontario.
Shelby is joined by Leticia Cline, amateur motocross rider, and Ami Houde, a pro motocross racer of 20 years who has competed extensively in Manitoba and across Canada, as well as the World Championships in Europe. Her dad was a Canadian Champion back in 1979, and he's passed the torch along to a worthy successor. Ami is fearless… through broken bones, disappointments and a lot of hard work, she maintains her focus and drive through all obstacles.
Together, the team rides ATVs with Bear Claw Tours, hovercrafts courtesy of Air Rider Hovercraft, and float planes courtesy of Georgian Bay Airways. We also head out to the local motocross track, Motocamp, for some fun and adventure. All throughout, thrills are provided from ever reliable and exciting machines provided by Honda Canada, the official powersports sponsor of the ride.
After some thrilling and challenging adventures by dirtbike, ATV, float plane and hovercraft, our visitors and the rest of the team take refuge at the Glenn Burney Lodge, where the entire team enjoys some rest and relaxation.
If you've ever been there before, then you'll know what a motorsports-friendly town Parry Sound is. Shelby, Ami and Leticia will discover the town's hospitality for themselves in the most exciting ways possible, riding through the incredible trails and waterways, making use of whatever vehicle necessary for the trail or path ahead.
