If you're planning your trip around the fall colours, they are expected to peak at the end of September, and early October.

Fall in Northeastern Ontario is no reason to hibernate—consider it a reason to celebrate! The kaleidoscope of autumn colours, the festive fall fairs, and the cozy evenings are a perfect send-off to a summer well spent.

North Bay Gallery Hop

September 22 from 7 pm to 9:30 pm

Spend the evening touring local businesses and art galleries in Downtown North Bay. Enjoy receptions, events, and special promotions at every "hop-stop."

Wiky Fall Fair

September 22 - 24

Join the community of Wiikwemkoong for family and licensed dances, a pancake breakfast, Texas horseshoes, pony rides, a horse pull, and much, much more!  

4elements living art's Elemental Festival

September 28 - October 1 

Elemental Festival 2017 marks 4e’s 15th anniversary, as well as the culmination of a massive community effort to build the Connections Trail. Enjoy the unveiling of the trail, a dinner cruise, musical performances, workshops, and more on Manitoulin Island.

Eat Local's 3rd Annual Harvest Feast

September 29

Join Eat Local for their third annual Harvest Feast Gala Fundraiser. Enjoy local foods, a farmer trade show, and silent auction. Celebrate 10 years in the community!

cochrane Polar Bear Habitat harvest fest

September 29 - 30

Get your groove on at Friday night's Barn Dance, complete with a live band and cash bar. On Saturday, return to the Polar Bear Habitat for harvest food and everything fall, and of course, to meet the bears.

Cavalcade of Colours Fall festival

September 29 - October 1

Take a spectacular fall hike on the A.Y. Jackson Lookout trail in Onaping Falls. Visit the Onaping Falls Lions Club for an Arts & Craft Show, a Country Fair, a BBQ, and more throughout the weekend. 

Timmins Fall Hiking Day

September 30

Join the community of Timmins for a group hike, refreshments, and snacks as you explore the community trail system, and learn about local vegetation and wildlife Click on the title link above for meetup time and location.

MS Fall Fair @ Freskiws

September 30 - October 1 

Stock up for winter at this fall celebration held inside the Freskiw greenhouse. Over 80 vendors of arts and crafts, baking, vegetables, and more will be in attendance. 

Leisure Farms Pumpkin Patch Festivities

September 30 - October 30 

Happening 10:30 am to 5 pm every weekend until Halloween. Take part in activities like wagon rides, corn mazes, haunted barn tours and of course - pumpkin picking.

Wagon Wheel Ranch Harvest Activities

Saturdays and Sundays through October

Participate in some family fun on the farm just outside of Sudbury in Val Therese including wagon rides, petting zoos, and pony rides. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase on site including hamburgers and hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn and more. 

The Timmins Gold Rush Run

October 8

This is a competetive, yet fun run on a 2 k / 5 k track. The course is flat, and suitable for all skill levels. Proceeds from this event goes to help fund activities promoting a healthy lifestyle in the Timmins community.

6th Annual Fibre Arts Festival

October 20 - 22 

This annual event held in Espanola features pumpkin events and tastings, a makers market, fibre art workshops and demonstrations, and more.
