2016 List of Fall Fairs & Events

Fall in Northeastern Ontario is no reason to hibernate. Consider it a reason to celebrate; The cavalcade of autumn colours, the festive fall fairs and the cozy evenings are the perfect send-off to a summer well spent. 

Join us at one of the many fall fairs, festivities and events happening across Northeastern Ontario. If you're planning your trip around the fall colours, they are expected to peak at the end of September, and early October.

Anderson Farm Museum Fall Fair

September 10

9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Anderson Farm Museum in Lively is the scene for fresh air family fun. Come and see the Classic Car 'Shine & Show' and win prizes sponsored by the Chelmsford Animal Hospital and Walden Lions Club.

Timmins Fall Fair 

September 10-11

The Timmins Fall Fair is an annual, family friendly event run by the Porcupine District Agricultural Society on the weekend after Labor Day. Enjoy races, a horse show, facepainting and more!

New Liskeard Fall Fair

September 15 - 17

Take part in the animals, attractions, entertainment, exhibits & the midway. Laugh with your friends and family; share amongst yourselves & grow your agricultural heritage.

North Bay Gallery Hop

September 26, November 18 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Spend the evening touring local businesses and art galleries. Enjoy receptions, events and special promotions at every "hop-stop".

Leisure Farms Pumpkin Patch Festivities

Beginning the last weekend of September

Happening 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every weekend until Halloween. Take part in activities like wagon rides, corn mazes, haunted barn tours and of course - pumpkin picking.

Cavalcade of Colours Fall festival

September 23 - 25

Take a spectacular fall hike on the A.Y. Jackson Lookout trail in Onaping Falls. Visit the Dowling Leisure Centre for an Arts & Craft Show, a Country Fair and a BBQ all weekend long. 

North Bay Farmers market Cultural day & Pumpkin PAinting

October 1

All day - free admission. Located next to Discovery North Bay Museum, on Oak Street.

Capreol's Terror Train 6607

October 1 - 30

Join the Northern Ontario Railroad Museum & Heritage Centre for one of northern Ontario’s most terrifying attractions. The Terror Train 6077 runs every Friday through Sunday in October ( 7 pm to 10 pm). Do you have what it takes to make it out alive?

The Timmins Gold Rush Run

October 9

This is a competetive, yet fun run on a 2 k / 5 k track. The course is flat, and suitable for all skill levels. Proceeds from this event goes to help fund activities promoting a healthy lifestyle in the Timmins community.

5th Annual Pumpkin & Fibre Arts Festival

October 14th - 16th 

This annual event held in Espanola features pumpkin events and tastings, a makers market, fibre art workshops and demonstrations, and more.

October 22

Join the Timmins Symphony Orchestra at 8:30 p.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Cathedral as they journey back in time to commemorate our veterans.

Pumpkinfest @ The Polar Bear Habitat

October 24

Carve pumpkins, go trick-or-treating, and of course, meet Ganuk the polar bear at the Polar Bear Habitat in Cochrane. 

Temiskaming Shores 7th Annual Haunted Hustle

October 30

The spooky 5 km and 10 km walk/run's begin at Haileybury waterfront, and the event raises funds for the expansion of the STATO trail. This event is a Boston Qualifier.
