The Biggest Summer Party North Bay has Ever Seen!

Northeastern Ontario has kicked off summer with a parade of much-awaited festivals and events, and North Bay's biggest is fast approaching with dates set on the Civic Holiday weekend.

July 29-31, 2016

This year's Summer in the Park highlights begin on the Friday with headliner Hedley; Tim Hicks and Cory Marquardt on Saturday; and even more performances on Sunday. Acts are still being announced, so be sure to check back often for updates!

Returning this year and expected to be one of the biggest highlights once again, is beach volleyball, presented by the Ontario Volleyball Association's Grand Slam Event, where only the highest ranked teams in Ontario are invited to compete.

There is also daily entertainment throughout the weekend with various events and activities to participate in, such as face painting, a petting zoo, vendors and workshops, a car and bike show, as well as a Farmer's Market.

To add to the festivities, North Bay's Waterfront has an abundance of local flair: The Kate Pace Way has a bike path that runs along the shore of Lake Nipissing, there are beaches for swimming, and on-site are picnic shelters and the Heritage Railway and Carousel. Nearby is the Discovery North Bay museum, a 250 boat slip marina and the Government Dock, home port for the Chief Commanda II tour craft.

Wristbands are $50 and can be purchased at Capitol Centre, city hall and on the website. Included in the price is free usage of city transit, but parking is available at Lee Park, with a shuttle bus operating to take people to and from the festival grounds.

Purchase Wristbands here!

Please take note, there are no pets allowed on festival grounds, with the exception of service animals, and bicycles cannot be ridden for safety reasons.
