We caught up with owner Shelly Tulpin, who told us about their new snowmobile-friendly destination.

Poplar Point Camp is located just off A107C.

Tell us about Poplar Point Camp. How long has it been in business?

We have been in business for over 75 years. We started as a summer-fall spot and we have now made it a 4 season camp.

What sort of accommodation do you offer?

We have 6 cottages all along Long Point Lake that are open all year round:

  • Two 2-bedroom cottages
  • Two 3-bedroom cottages
  • Two 4-bedroom cottages
6 cottages and gorgeous location make Poplar Point Camp a natural wonderland year-round.

What's new this year?

Snowmobile packages and premium fuel!

What's the parking like? Is there room for sleds and trailers?

Yes! Lots of parking.

What's the OFSC Prescribed Trail access like?

We are just a very short distance from Recreational OFSC Prescribed Trail TOP A107C, and we groom our own trail into camp.

We're also conveniently located along the Gold Rush Tour

What other amenities will visitors enjoy at Poplar Point Camp?

Cabins have all you need. I can grab any food required to cook your meals in your cabins. We have saunas, a shallow swim area, docks for boats, boat rentals, bear and moose hunting packages, ice fishing, and ATV trails.

The Elk Lake area has many well-maintained trails that go for hundreds of kilometres, with beautiful views.

What do you think people love about Poplar Point?

Everything! We have been told that our camp is in the middle of God's Country.
