The first-ever Vintage Snowmobile Ride in Kapuskasing, Ontario invites snowmobile enthusiasts to dust off their classic rides and join in for a day filled with fun and adventure. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 9, 2024!

What's the Vintage Snowmobile Ride? 

This all-day event is packed with fun snowmobile events! Check out the vintage showcase on display at La Forge and vote for your favourites, visit the on-site powersport dealerships, partake in or watch the snowmobile demonstrations, enjoy a hot lunch by the fire followed by yummy smores, and enjoy some live musical entertainment by country duo Rosewood Ave. A complimentary shuttle back home or to hotels will be provided. "It’ll be a fun-filled day, not only for the participants in the vintage ride, but for the whole community to come out and check out this 'museum on skis,'" says Kelly Kraby, Tourism & Special Events Coordinator. "Snowmobiling is part of our cultural heritage." 

Where: The event is at La Forge in Kapuskasing, Ontario. The Vintage Ride is a 15 km loop departing from La Forge, with a slower parade running through the Kapuskasing Golf Course. Spectators are invited to view the parade from the comfort of the outdoor patio overlooking the course and socialize with the participants during a short pause and photo-op. 

When: Saturday, March 9, 2024. Registration is open now, and participants are encouraged to secure their spots early to avoid disappointment. The vintage ride showcase starts at 10 am!

Additionally, participants can join the Vintage Ride Facebook Group here to stay updated on event details and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

Please note that only snowmobiles manufactured in 1999 or earlier are eligible for this "vintage" experience. Registration fees are set at $10 per snowmobile, but participants are advised to register before February 29 to take advantage of the early bird pricing. After this date, fees will increase to $20, so don't miss out on this unique opportunity to embrace the nostalgia of vintage snowmobiling.

10 am-2 pm    Vintage Snowmobile Showcase + Vendor expo and demos + Lunch

2 pm-4 pm     Vintage Ride + Parade at Golf Course + Vendor expo and demos

4pm-6pm    Prizes + Vendor expo and demos + Supper

6 pm-8p m     Social (indoor and outdoor)

8 pm-10 pm   Live music ft. Rosewood Avenue

10 pm-12 am Party Music
