Get ready to be spoiled. The Hollinger Golf Club is Northern Ontario’s only 18-hole championship-level bent grass golf course, boasting one of the best-manicured greens and fairways in the province. You’ll get all the perks of a full practice facility including a driving range, putting green, chipping, and bunker area, not to mention the incredible scenic views.

The club also has historical significance, which adds a dose of charm to the play. Established in 1922, this course was originally built to be an entertainment center for people who had come to Timmins to work at the Hollinger Mine at a time in Timmins history when the town was the epicenter of gold mining

2. Spruce Needles Golf Club

Secluded in the woods, Spruce Needles Golf Club in Timmins is a traditional 18-hole course with a  championship length challenge and plenty of straightforward holes that are enjoyed by golfers of all levels. The large landing areas, accommodating greens and the condition of the fairways are excellent—perfect for you to show off your game.

The club is run as a not-for-profit organization, proudly owned and operated by its members. A junior program is offered throughout the summer to motivate young people to get into the sport. The club is also very active in organizing diverse tournaments, such as the “Adam & Eve Tournament” and the “3 Man Challenge”.  

Thanks to its natural isolation, golfers will enjoy quiet from the sounds of the city as well as from other players. After your session, you can enjoy fine dining in the club’s restaurant, a drink at the ‘19th hole’, or do some pro shopping for golf accessories.
