The Best of Northern Ontario Travel

Welcome to the True North

Northern Ontario Travel is your one-stop shop to explore the regions and activities offered in Northern Ontario, Canada.

From Sunset Country with its thousands of lakes, to Superior Country which stretches deep into the remote North, to beautiful Algoma Country where the Group of Seven took their inspiration, to Northeastern Ontario with its many attractions only a day's drive or less from Toronto or Ottawa, Northern Ontario has a lot to offer visitors, no matter what you like to do on vacation.

All four seasons are active in Northern Ontario. Springtime opens up opportunities for fishingATVing, and motorcycle touring all the way through fall. Summer is great for boating and camping. Fall is hunting season as well as a chance to check out the fall colours in all their glory; it's also prime season to see the Northern Lights. Our winters are an unparalleled spot for ice fishing or snowmobiling, and outdoor adventures of all kinds are available all year long.

You can rough it in the woods, or if you're more of an urbanite, come check out the charms of Thunder Bay in the Northwest, Sault Ste. Marie in Algoma, or SudburyNorth Bay or Timmins in the Northeast.

This page collects some of our most popular, timely, and high-quality posts. We hope you find it helpful, and we hope to see you up here soon!
