Beachfront Glamping Domes on Lake Superior
Take a day to drive along the North Channel of Lake Huron to the shores of Lake Superior to glamp on the Big Lake with your first stop in Ontario's Algoma Country.
Nestled at the mouth of the Michipicoten River on Lake Superior, and a short 15 km south of Wawa, ON, Naturally Superior Adventure’s Rock Island Lodge is your base for adventure.
Only a short distance north of Lake Superior Provincial Park, you’ll have access to some of the best hiking trails and paddling adventures that Lake Superior has to offer. However, if you would prefer to stay closer to home, no problem, Rock Island Lodge offers many paddling adventures including Half or Full Day Trips, Stand-up Paddle Boarding, Canoeing, and Eco Tours. Guided and Self-Guided trips are available as well.
When it’s time to wind down for the day, why not do so in a Glamdome on the beach looking out at the mighty Lake Superior? Glamping Tents in a National Park
Continue the drive along the coast of Lake Superior into Superior Country for about 2 hours or so to Pukaskwa National Park.
Located on the northern shore of Lake Superior, Pukaskwa National Park is an outdoor adventurer’s dream! Pukaskwa is the perfect backdrop for your northern outdoor experience combining authentic boreal wilderness with Anishinaabe culture.
Flanked by breathtaking coniferous forests and rich in history, you will never find yourself bored as you explore the park. Choose from backcountry hiking, swimming, paddling or all of the above, the park has you covered.
Looking for a longer excursion? Pukaskwa offers an 18 km day hike within the park itself to the 23-metre-high White River Suspension Bridge. Spend your day admiring to surreal landscape, and when you arrive, look out over the bridge to the amazing view of the roaring Chigamiwinigum Falls.
When the sun goes down, relax and spend your evening in comfort in your private oTENTik. The oTENTiks are a unique comfortable accommodation, a cross between a tent and a rustic cabin, and are perfect for smaller groups and families. Each one accommodates sleeping up to 6 people and has a table & seating, wood stove, and electricity. Outside, the campsite has a fire pit, a bear-proof food locker, a picnic table, chairs, and a BBQ.

On the way to your glamping adventure in the boreal forest, we recommend breaking up the trip with a stay at Quetico Provincial Park. The park offers some rustic cabins with a queen bed, seating area, personal campfire pit, electric heat, BBQ and other kitchen amenities. It's important to know that there is a washroom and shower facility nearby as there is no running water in the cabins. A true Canadian wilderness adventure awaits if this is your first time! From Pukaskwa National Park to Quetico Provincial Park is about a 5-hour drive.

Glamp with Group of Seven views! Located on the gorgeous Georgian Bay, Killarney Provincial Park covers 645 square kilometres of vast wilderness including the La Cloche Mountains, the amazing pink granite coast of Georgian Bay and several stunning lakes.
Killarney Provincial Park is well known for its many park amenities and variety of outdoor activities including hiking trails, canoeing and heritage programs that bring thousands of visitors each year. Some of the more notable visitors in years past were Canada’s very own Group of Seven artists A.Y. Jackson, Franklin Carmichael and A.J. Casson. They were so captivated by the area, they were able to persuade the Ontario government to make it a park.
After a long day of exploring, rest easy in your very own yurt! Killarney Provincial Park offers 6 yurts located in the George Lake Campground. Each yurt is available year-round for up to 6 people and includes electricity and electric heat for those cooler evenings. Outside, you are provided with a propane barbeque, a fire pit, a metal bear-proof storage box, and picnic tables.
