The fort's staff and dedicated volunteers have meticulously designed and built this nightmarish experience. As you journey through the village, you'll uncover the dark secrets that lie behind the ominous events that have befallen William's Town.

Haunted Fort Night brings together various departments, with lighting, costumes, and actors' performances working in tandem to create an immersive and spine-chilling experience. Tours start at 7 p.m. each evening, and reservations are essential to secure your spot in this terrifying adventure.

Pumpkinfest - Embrace the Magic of Autumn

The Halloween celebrations don't end there. Pumpkinfest, another beloved event in Superior Country, sets the stage for family-friendly fun and seasonal delights. Gammondale Farm transforms into a magical autumn carnival, welcoming visitors to experience the splendor of the season.

Starting at the base of Candy Mountain in the scenic Slate River Valley, Pumpkinfest illuminates the farm with warm colors, providing a stunning backdrop for a host of outdoor activities and events. If you answered yes, then you should not miss the 7th Annual Terror in the Bay Film Festival, the ultimate event for horror lovers. This festival showcases a wide range of indie horror films and trailers from around the world, featuring the creative works of independent filmmakers who have a strong passion for horror. You will be amazed by the talent and vision of these artists, who bring their stories to life on the screen. 

The festival runs for four days, from October 18th to 21st, at the historic Mapletops Paramount Entertainment Theatre in downtown Thunder Bay. You can also enjoy the food concession stand, local vendor tables, and the “Blood Red Carpet” Photo Shoot, where you can pose with your favourite horror characters. And don’t forget to dress up for the BEST COSTUME contest on Saturday, October 21st, where you can win awesome prizes.
