Woods, Irons and Rock!

Bookended by huge music festivals, the 3rd annual Staal Foundation Open is a perfect reason to visit Thunder Bay this July!
A part of PGA Canada’s Mackenzie Tour, the Staal Foundation Open is a professional golf tournament held in Thunder Bay at the famed Whitewater Golf Club July 11-17.
The Staal Foundation Open isn’t just a golf tournament. The nearly week-long event will of course feature the official tournament but will also offer many other activities for spectators to watch and enjoy including a trick shot demonstration, entertainment and a celebrity Pro-Am. Celebrities such as Eric, Jordan, Marc and Jared Staal, Grant Fuhr, Trevor Kidd as well as TSN’s Gino Reda and Glenn Schiiler (the tbay-born sportscaster was last year’s winner) will be swinging the wrenches for the Pro-Am win.
For the ultimate sports lover
Make sure to be here on July 11 for the kick-off of the tournament featuring the Pandora Summer Classic Hockey Game. With NHL stars, hall-of-famers, celebrities and play by play by TSN’s Gina Reda and Glenn Schiiler, this will be the most epic road hockey game you will ever see!
And be sure to check out the Thunder Bay Border Cats baseball game on July 10 and the Thunder Bay Chill soccer game on July 12.
