Travel Information Centres in Northern Ontario

Whether you're planning an adventure or just need a break, these centres across the region offer valuable travel insights and fun information—and some are must-see attractions themselves!
The Wawa Travel Information Centre

Explore Northern Ontario with ease by stopping at one of these travel information centres (TIC) on your next trip. Whether you need maps, recommendations, some souvenirs, or a rest stop, these conveniently located centres across the province provide helpful travel resources and insights into local attractions, events, and services. These centres are staffed by students, locals, and friendly volunteers—so be sure to have a chat. You never know what you might find out!

Sometimes, the information centre itself is a must-visit destination. Check out the local artists highlighted at the Wawa TIC (next to the big goose), explore Canada’s oldest operating TIC in Thunder Bay (you can’t miss it, it’s in the style of a pagoda), or stop by the Sioux Narrows - Nestor Falls TIC located inside the Northern Ontario Sport Fishing Centre. You could go to the Terry Fox Memorial TIC with views of Sleeping Giant, visit Moonbeam’s TIC next to the giant UFO, or pop into the historic Temagami Train Station for some brochures and info.

Be sure to check seasonal hours before planning your visit.
