Top 10 Fall Hikes in Northeastern Ontario

Bug-free, cooler temperatures, fall colours—is there a better time for hitting the trails than fall?

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again—fall is the perfect time to take a hike in Northeastern Ontario.

Our region is home to some pretty spectacular, multi-day, backcountry hikes, but in this article we’ve rounded up our best day trips. These hikes are perfect excursions if you’re travelling from one of the numerous communities in Northeastern Ontario, or are in the region visiting family and friends, or exploring scenic fall colour drives.
