Everything on the menu has been carefully selected based on customer feedback. They also offer live entertainment in the summer, and the restaurant is fully licensed. 2. La Place Rendez Vous Restaurant - Fort Frances

Description: "Regional Canadian Cuisine with an international flair" is what you can expect when you eat at the dining room of La Place Rendez Vous Hotel in Fort Frances, Ontario. 3. The Plaza Restaurant - Kenora

Description: "Put a little OPA in your life" is the saying at the Plaza Restaurant in Kenora, Ontario. If you love authentic Greek food, then you are going to love dining at the Plaza. This has been a family-run restaurant since 1969, and the Greek Gods of Food definitely reside here!

4. The Outdoorsman - Atikokan

Description: With a very appropriate name considering it's located in Atikokan, The Outdoorsman Restaurant caters to all tastes with delicious poutine, burgers and tasty pizza being highlights. The staff are very friendly and the service is exceptional. There's nothing like a hearty meal cooked for you after a day paddling or fishing out on the area's lakes.

5. Antonio's - Red Lake

Description: Antonio's Restaurant in Red Lake, Ontario, is a favourite among locals and the many tourists who visit the community each year. Serving traditional (and fresh) Italian dishes. A major bonus is that they also have a bakery! The cinnamon buns baked fresh every Friday are fantastic. If you love seafood and want an appetizer, the bacon-wrapped scallops are delicious. The Homemade soups are also something else! Antonio's is a family-owned and operated business, and it shows in the service and quality dishes they make.

6. Clooch's Ignace Tavern - Ignace

Description: With a motto of "Friends Gather Here", Clooch's Ignace Tavern provides friendly, small-town service and excellent meals. Choose from appies, burgers, and if available, try the pizza poutine—a unique and delicious take on the popular dish. In the evening, you'll enjoy drinks and a good time in the Tavern. Snowmobilers and anglers regularly gather here.

7. Totem Resorts - Sioux Narrows

Description: While Totem Resorts is known for its great fishing, Totem and Yellowbird Lodge Restaurants in Sioux Narrows, are both open to the public and offer menus that are loaded with choices. Yellowbird Lodge is a frequent stop for boaters, anglers and in winter, snowmobilers. Everyone from kids to adults will be happy with the menu choices. Hint: the Lake of the Woods walleye shorelunch is a must-try!

Operating Hours: Totem Restaurant is open in the summer, and Yellowbird in the winter. Hours at Totem in summer are 7 am to 9 pm 7 days a week, and during winter, at Yellowbird, 11 am to 9 pm, also 7 days a week.

Description: If you're travelling through Sioux Lookout, you want a sandwich and soup, the Pelican Lake Sandwich Company is the place to get it. They have a soup and sandwich of the day, or you can order from their menu and customize your sandwich to your liking. Their Monte Cristo sandwich is highly recommended. 

Operating Hours:  Monday to Friday, 10 am to 2 pm, closed Saturday and Sunday.

9. Riverview Lodge - Dryden

Description: Known as "Dryden's Historic Log Cabin", The Riverview Lodge offers some of the best meals anywhere in Sunset Country. They are open for lunch and supper, and you won't have a problem finding something you like off their large menu of selections. The wraps are especially good!

Description: If you're in or travelling through Ear Falls on Hwy 105, stop in at Leslie's Cafe & Bistro for a bite to eat. The mushroom caps appetizer is the best of many good choices, and the pulled pork is worth the trip alone. If you are really, really hungry, then try the Hangover Burger!
