The Temiskaming Loop in Four Days

A classic motorcycle itinerary for Northeastern Ontario.

If you live in southern Ontario, you know what a challenge it is to find a great weekend ride in Ontario. Most of the areas around the big cities are congested. Sitting on a 400 series highway for the first day of your trip is the quickest way to dump a big bucket of water on your enthusiasm.

But with a quick hour and an half jaunt straight north from Toronto, you're out of the crush of city life and well on your way to a magnificent ride - a peaceful, perfectly paved twisty journey through a two lane ribbon cresting over pristine Northern lakes, through the magnificent Boreal forest and over the Canadian Shield.

And three to four days is the perfect amount of time to ride, and take in all the area has to offer - from craft brews and local cuisine, to spectacular lookouts and legendary roads.

This itinerary is just the top stops along the way, but if you want to get off the beaten path, feel free to use the stop explorers and look for those hidden gems that match your style.
