Redwood Sport-fishing Charters offers a fully equipped, professional fishing experience that is enjoyable and affordable. The 18-foot Hobo Redwood Sport-fishing Charter-boat seats up to four people comfortably, and is located on the world-famous St. Mary's River close to downtown beautiful Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.

Redwood Sport-fishing Charters provides five-hour morning and evening charters for Pacific Salmon (King, Pink, Coho) and Atlantic Salmon. The season for Pacific salmon begins in late July with the Kings first showing up and then the Pinks in mid to late August and continues with the late Cohos through the end of September.

The Atlantic salmon season starts mid-June and lasts usually four to five weeks depending on the feed. This is a highly prized fish and is limited to one per person on a regular license. We also offer special excursions for inland brook/speckled trout that can be caught by either spin cast or on a fly rod. This trophy lake is exclusive to Redwood Sportfishing Charters, and is a conservation lake, with some of the small fish taken for shore lunches only. The Brookie season is May to September.

Head Golf Professional At Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club

Jeff Hamilton has been the head golf professional at the Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club since 2001. He is a Class A CPGA professional responsible for all golf programs, tournaments and events at the SGC. Jeff is also in charge of Golf Instruction, the Pro Shop and its staff, and the training facilities.

Jeff is originally from Nova Scotia, where he grew up working at golf courses and playing competitive golf highlighted by representing Nova Scotia at the 1987 Canadian Junior Golf Championship. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (1992) degree from the Saint Mary's University in Halifax Jeff joined the historic Toronto Golf Club as an assistant golf professional. During his time at Toronto Golf Club, Jeff was the low qualifier (1993) at the Ontario PGA Playing Ability Test and completed the five-year Canadian PGA Apprentice Program within only four years (1994) to become a Class A CPGA Professional. From 1996 to 2001, Jeff functioned as the associate golf professional at Mississaugua Golf & Country Club, under the tutelage of former PGA tour player and Head Golf Professional Gar Hamilton.

Jeff's service to the golf industry in Ontario was recognized with his selection as the Northern Ontario PGA Head Professional of the Year in 2008. As well, he's been a consistent top 5 performer in Northern Ontario PGA events.

The Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club is a semi private club, welcoming visitors on a daily green fee basis.

The Iron Club Restaurant overlooks the St Mary's River and is open 12 months of the year.

Golf Professional At Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club and Crimson Ridge

Dan Missere is a PGA of Canada Class A Professional born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie with over 20 years of teaching experience.

His work in the golf industry began at age 12 as a bag boy at the Sault Ste. Marie Golf Club. He began his apprenticeship at 18 and assumed the Head Professional position just three years later. During his time at the Club he was successful in administering an introductory and competitive Junior program along with an extensive client base of players of all abilities.

Dan held that position for 9 years before leaving to become the Director of Golf at Crimson Ridge, a position he held until 2006. Dan left Crimson Ridge to assume the responsibilities as General Manager of Searchmont Resort, a regional ski resort located just north of Sault Ste. Marie.

Private Coaching - One on One Coaching Sessions

A one on one session is a private 60 minute coaching session focused on all aspects of your golf game. Coaching is focused on your needs and individual learning style. Video anaylsis and other teaching aids used where appropriate. Private Coaching Sessions are held at the beautiful Crimson Ridge Practice Facility.
