How to Make the Month Go Out with A Bang in Sault Ste. Marie

The weekend is calling you out to enjoy some great food, live entertainment, a stiff drink and some fun in the sun (or snow).

Gates and Grills at Searchmont Ski Resort - February 25!

Gates and Grill is Back! Get ready to race through a gated course (if you have registered), and/or enjoy watching the race or a day on the slopes and a prime rib dinner afterwards.

The race and dinner cost is $40 plus tax and gratuites. If you want to go out and watch this exciting race and stay for dinner, the cost for the meal will be $30 plus tax and gratuites.

80 participants and the race will take place from 5 pm-7 pm.

Dinner will start at around 7:30 pm and awards will be from 8:30 pm-9 pm. The dinner will be held in Slopeside and will consist of:

Crudité, Prime Rib, Au jus, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Vegetables, Lettuce Salad, Bread and Butter, and, Assorted Cheesecake.

If you don't have a ticket, there will still be night skiing from 4 pm-9 pm.

  1. St. Marys River: Perch, Northern Pike, Walleye, Crappie/Blue Gill

Led by Shaun Parent, the Director/Instructor of North of Superior Climbing Company, this is your opportunity to climb on Superior ice with the Midwest’s premiere climbing school. Outdoor Explorer Magazine (Feb/Mar 2001) rated the climbing school as one of the five best places to learn to climb in North America. Located in Batchawana Bay on Lake Superior, the North of Superior Climbing Company offers winter ice climbing instruction and guiding at many sites along the north shore of Lake Superior. The company offers spring and fall rock climbing courses and all types of outdoor adventures. In the summer Shaun Parent offers guided treks, climbs and paragliding adventures in Peru, South America.
