In Fratelli's Kitchen with Nick and Sergio Cavaliere...

Brothers John and Gino Cavaliere have been in business together in Sault Ste. Marie for over 40 years. With first opening Giovanni's in 1977.

Fratelli's came to life in 2004 when John and Gino had a vacant building beside Giovanni's and they asked Gino's sons Nick and Sergio (nephews of John) if they wanted an opportunity to carry on the family recipes next door. Without hesitation they agreed and the rest is history!

They were proud to pass on their secret pizza recipe to the next generation of Cavaliere's, when they opened an extension of their restaurant business, Fratelli's. Over the years Giovanni's and Fratelli's have been fortunate and grateful for their hard working and loyal staff members; which is the reason their service is second to none.

Their pizza is made with the love and passion that the family has for making food great. The original family recipe for the pizza originated with Cavaliere matriarch Nana Ida and has been tweaked over the years by John and Gino to bring each generations personal touches to the recipes. Only the freshest ingredients are used and all the pizza sauce and dough are made fresh daily in house. It is said that the Calabrese pizza is a customer favourite and one you must try.

The staff of Fratelli's invite you to dine with them any day of the week (open 7 days for lunch and dinner - located next to Giovannis), and enjoy their full menu with pastas, pizzas, delicious desserts and more! Eat-In, Take-Out, and delivery service is available! The restaurant is fully licensed.

A home-style crust and pizza sauce topped with the best quality products awaits you at Fratelli's Kitchen & Pizzeria!

Aurora's West Side, How It All Began...

In 1946 Aurora's was started in a small building on the corner of James and Albert Street, the heartland of the Westend of Sault Ste. Marie. During that period of time "The Westend" as it was called back then, was a thriving predominately Italian area of the city. It prided itself on its' great ethnic food, the keen sense of community spirit and strong Italian traditions. The tantalizing aromas of family recipes filled the air. The sweet smells of fresh bread coming from local bakeries and the smell of authentic sauces coming from peoples homes were guarantees that no one was ever late for dinner.

It was at this time that Aurora's became a local gathering place. People would meet after local hockey or baseball games, after church or just stop in while visiting many of the small shops and grocery stores of the area. The menu was small and people enjoyed the ambiance and the friendly service of the staff. There was always someone to talk to and share the events of the day over a cup of coffee and a sandwich.

As the Sault started to grow it was apparent that Aurora's had to grow with it. A second "home" was on the corner of Bruce and Grosvenor Street. With the blessings of family and many friends it was there that the reputation for pizza and fine Italian food was built. The combination of expanding the menu, clientele and 20 years in business, the family knew they had outgrown their location and moved across the street to a larger building. This triggered one more move where Aurora's became a large restaurant with stained glass, warm brass, and antique carousel horses creating a musical theme and wonderful experience for Italian dinning.

Over the years popular franchises had come and gone, but Aurora's persevered and grown with its customers. In 1995 the Secondline location, Aurora's Westside opened and still exists today. It prides itself on quality food, friendly customer service, portion size, price and cleanliness. Aurora's believes that it is because of their customers that keeps them motivated to become better and maintain their top knotch service. The owners love what they do and love to see their customers when they visit, new and the regulars.

At Aurora's Westside, they strive to provide you and your families with the highest quality food for the best price possible! Whether you are looking for In-House dining, or Takeout dinners, Aurora's has something for you. From their famous pizza, to the delicious "fall off the bone" ribs, to a wide assortment of homemade pasta's, they have something that will cater to your taste!

Not only do they pride themselves with In-House and Takeout experiences, but catering and banquet services are available as well.
