And one of the best things about cyclists is that they are a welcoming and friendly bunch. So if you’re new to the sport—or just want to try something different for a couple of days—you could end up making some lifelong friends on this year’s Ontario cycling events.

19 Healthy Parks Healthy People — Day entry is free at all Ontario Parks across the province, many of which have great cycling options. Check out the trails at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park near Thunder Bay, cruise the hard-surface Old Railway Bike Trail in Algonquin Provincial Park, or tackle Silent Lake Provincial Park’s 28 kilometres of singletrack mountain bike trails.
