10 Incredible Photos Showcasing Nature's Beauty This Thanksgiving

Fall in Ontario is simply beautiful. These photos reinforce just how lucky we are to live in or to be able to visit Sunset Country.
We've had exceptionally nice weather this autumn in Northwest Ontario. Plenty of sunshine, above average temperatures, incredible fishing, beautiful fall colours and fantastic sunsets!
Here's just a taste of what we experienced this fall:
An aerial view of one of Wenasaga Lodge's outposts
It was a beautiful weekend to close up Wenasaga's outpost on Slate Lake which is located 37 miles northeast of Ear Falls in Ontario, Canada.

Beautiful northern lights!
September northern lights were fantastic and they seem to be continuing into October. Chris Marchand of the Dryden Observer captured this photo just before the clouds covered the show near Dryden.
Sunsets are earlier in October, but just as beautiful!
This glorious sunset was taken at the docks of Nestor Falls Fly-in Outposts. As the season winds down, all the float planes will soon be put away.
Thanksgiving weekend at Luther Village Camp
It was a beautiful weekend for a youth retreat at Luther Village Camp on Dogtooth Lake.
Two of the best things about Northwest Ontario: Sunsets and fishing!
Quentin at Branch's Seine River Lodge took some time off to enjoy fishing during this incredible sunset near Atikokan.
Houseboating on Lac Seul in the fall
There's something to be said about getting out on the lake in autumn. As you cruise around, the yellow, orange and red leaves really stand out against the evergreens dotting the shoreline. Here some fall hunters are aboard a houseboat from Lac Seul Floating Lodges.
Kayaking beautiful Rainy Lake!
Imagine going for a paddle and being treated to this sunset? Thanks to @MNCornGuy for the great photo.
Fall scenery on Perrault Lake
Perrault Lake is beautiful in the fall as well as in the summer. Here's a peak from Rainbow Point Lodge.
Beautiful evenings at Tomahawk Resort
Tomahawk Resort in Sioux Narrows on Lake of the Woods was treated to this fantastic sunset.
As I reflect on what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving, I can't help but to feel very blessed to live in a place where all this beauty is commonplace. If you've never been to Ontario's Sunset Country, you certainly should consider a visit, it's truly a remarkable area.
