Eat Like It's Easter!

Check out these establishments for Easter specials & events in Northeastern Ontario

Whether you are of the religious or secular variety, Easter can be a time to get together with family and friends. And between the egg hunts and the parades lies an underlying theme of food, delicious food, regardless of whether your festivities are celebrated with chocolate bunnies or a more traditional feast based on your heritage. Who doesn't like a good reason to eat good food in good company?

So if you’re looking for a place to chow down this Easter, here are a few suggestions from around Northeastern Ontario. We guarantee they'll get your taste buds “hopping!”

Anchor Inn Hotel Bar & Grill

Little Current, Northeastern Manitoulin & the Islands

Little Current’s Anchor Inn Hotel Bar & Grill will have available a roast turkey dinner with “all of the trimmings” on the menu on Saturday, April 15.

Cecil’s Brewhouse & Kitchen

North Bay

Cecil’s Brewhouse & Kitchen is having a Sunday brunch buffet on April 16 from 10 am to 2 pm. Some things to expect are a prime rib carving station, pastas and salads, omelets to order, and a chocolate fountain to accompany your array of desserts. Reservations are recommended.

Cedar Meadows Resort & Spa and Wilderness Tours

Timmins

Stop in at Cedar Meadows for their Easter Brunch menu being served from 10 am to 2 pm on Sunday, April 16. A well-rounded breakfast menu complements the variety of salads, delicious platters, baked ham with brown sugar-honey glaze, and a selection of desserts to choose from.

Dinner Bell Restaurant & Motel

Rutherglen

At the Dinner Bell Restaurant & Motel you can expect Easter specials all day at breakfast, lunch and dinner on Sunday, April 16. You will want to explore their new menu, which adds items such as (call again)

Elk Lake Eco Centre

Elk Lake

The Elk Lake Eco Centre will be hosting an Easter ham buffet dinner on Saturday, April 15. Cocktails to start at 5 pm, with dinner being served at 6 pm, and you will want to experience the surprise dessert they have planned!

Holiday Inn Sudbury

Sudbury

The Holiday Inn Sudbury will be hosting an Easter Brunch Buffet on Sunday, April 16. Two seatings are available (10:30 am and 1 pm) and advanced reservations are recommended. 

Manitoulin Hotel & Conference Centre

Little Current, Northeastern Manitoulin & the Islands

Head on over to the North 46 Restaurant at the Manitoulin Hotel & Conference Centre for their Good Friday special of halibut fish and chips served with coleslaw, available for takeout.

On Saturday, April 15, from 9 am to 1 pm, the hotel is hosting an Easter Fun Day for the kids starting with a pancake breakfast. There will be lots of fun and games, including a bouncy castle and the Easter Bunny!

Opera Bakery Café

North Bay

Head on in to the Opera Bakery Café in North Bay for an assortment of tasty desserts for a limited time only, including spring cupcakes, Easter Cream Egg brownies and Easter-themed sugar cookies!

P&M’s Kouzzina

Sudbury

Along with their menu lineup, P&M’s Kouzzina is offering a fish Special on Good Friday. 

The Vous

Gogama

Beginning at 8 pm on Saturday, April 15, The Vous is hosting an Easter jamboree and wing night, featuring amateur entertainment from local and out-of-town talents.

There will also be an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet on Sunday, April 16 from 5 pm, serving ham, turkey, and all the trimmings.
