Where To Get Your Live Music Fix This Winter

There are many great live performances this season across our region that will keep you entertained through the long winter!

There is some really great local talent, as well as some international superstars, who are going to be performing in Northeastern Ontario this winter. There's no better way to stay warm than by taking in some live music! 

Sudbury 

Lunches with a Lake Concert

Come on out to the Vale Living with Lakes Centre to take in a FREE concert featuring classic guitartists Allan Yzereef Jr. and Keenan Comartin. This is a great family event where you can bring your own lunch, relax, and enjoy some great music on the lake!

  • When: Friday, January 11 from 12:10 pm - 12:50 pm

Sudbury Frost Fest

Friday night is "Country Night" featuring Aaron Pritchett, Kira Isabella, and David James. Saturday night features Glass Tiger, The Spoons, and special guests to wrap up the music festival with "Rock Night." The first ever Frost Fest hosted at the Caruso Club will be providing some much needed winter entertainment to Sudbury this year.

FOrtunate losers - rock 4 paws

The three peice alternative rock band hailing from Sudbury Ontario will be returning home to perform at the intimate Little Montreal. Fresh off the release of their debut record Cut Teeth, the band will be ready to put on an awesome show supporting a great cause! Proceeds from this show will be donated to Pet Save Sudbury.

Paul Brandt makes his way across Canada in support of his new EP, The Journey BNA: Vol. 2, and will be performing at the Sudbury Arean on February 24. For ticket information, click here.

Birds of bellwoods - Windsong Music Festival

This alt-rock band from Toronto have grown quickly in the Canadian music scene with their unique combination of folk, pop music, and alternative. The Windsong Music Festival in Powassan is putting on this concert to fill the gap for music in the winter!

Four incredibly talented Canadian musicians come together to present "Lunch at Allen's". Murray McLauchlan, Cindy Chrch, Marc Jordan, and Ian Thomas have a combined to either write or sing on over 25,000,000 CDs and have established themselves as one of the greatest Canadian ensembles of all time. They will also be including a "dash of Christmas spirit" to help you get excited for the Christmas season.

I mother earth & FINGer eleven 

Two classic Canadian rock bands are teaming up to tour across Canada and they are making a much anticipated stop in North Bay at the end of January.

Home free: timEless tour

This impressive a capella group performing country music hits rolls into North Bay in February. This talented five-man group has found fame on YouTube with with its no-instrument, all-vocal musical performances.

Timmins symphony orchestra and chorus - Stars of Christmas

  • When: Saturday, December 15 at 7:30 pm
  • Where: École Secondaire Catholique Thériault, 341 Theriault Blvd

Timmins and Thunder Bay symphony orchestra and chorus - Joining forces

  • When: Friday, February 1 at 7:30 pm
  • Where: École Secondaire Catholique Thériault, 341 Theriault Blvd

The first performance is by the Timmins Symphony Orchestra and Chorus celebrates the holiday season with their Christmas concert. The second performance sees the Thunder Bay Symphony Orceshtra team up with Timmins to put on a great show for all.
