Pristine Cross-Country Ski Trails in Sudbury

Sudbury is home to some of Northern Ontario's most beautiful cross-country ski trails!

Bio Ski Cross-Country Ski & Snowshoe Club

How many kilometers? 17 km of ski trails and 10 km of snowshoe trails.

Why you’ll love it:

The Bio Ski trails cover 17 km of narrow, intimate trails putting skiers in close contact with the surrounding forest.

Rentals: Available at the adjacent Nordic Ski Club.

Location: The Bio Ski trails are located off South Bay Road just past Lake Laurentian Conservation Area.

Capreol Cross Country Ski Club

How many kilometers? 32 km of ski trails.

Why you’ll love it:

All our trails are double track, skiers can ski side by side, on 32 km of trails that wind through a variety of evergreen and hardwood forest bordering two points overlooking the Vermilion River.

Location: Head to historic Capreol, 20 minutes from downtown Sudbury, where you’ll find the trails at 9 Morin Street in Capreol.

Kivi Park

How many kilometers? 35 km of ski trails.

Why you’ll love it:

Recently opened Kivi Park boasts 35 km of beautifully groomed trails set on 300 acres of prime Cambrian Shield overlooking Sudbury’s beautiful Long Lake.

Location: Kivi Park is located at Sudbury’s south end on Long Lake Road, a few minutes’ drive from the Four Corners.

Laurentian Nordic Ski Club

How many kilometers? 9 km of ski trails

Why you’ll love it:

The scenic views! The Sofie loop is one of the toughest trail loops but all the hard work is worth the views.

Location: The Laurentian Nordic Ski Trails are located off Ramsey Lake Road situated on the Laurentian University campus.

Onaping Falls Nordic Ski Club

How many kilometers? 15 km of ski trails, 4 km of snowshoe trails.

Why you’ll love it:

With over 15 km of pristine groomed trails, winding through mature pine forests, skiers enjoy the peace and tranquility of the North, not far from the city.

Rentals: Available on site.

Location: Onaping Falls is a scenic drive on Hwy 144, 40 minutes from downtown Sudbury on the edge of the SudburyBasin. The trails are located in Windy Lake Provincial Park, just off Hwy 144.

Walden Cross Country Ski Club

How many kilometers? 23 km of ski trails, 10 km of snowshoeing trails.

Why you’ll love it:

Everyone needs to experience skiing under the lights. 3 km of gently rolling trails are lit by LED streetlamps every weeknight until 9 pm all winter long.

Rentals: Available on site.

Location: The Walden trails are located on Regional Road 55 near Lively, one of Sudbury’s loveliest neighbourhoods.
